Featured Incredible Very Old Painting

Eddie van Halen, a genuine 'Indo'. But I don't know when the mix in his family began.

It is estimated that over 10% of the Dutch are of Indonesian descent. But that isn't counting people like the Dezentjés and myself, whose ancestors came here pre-WWII. In my case late 18th century.
I am sure if you count all of us, it should be at least 25%.

Don't worry, I missed most of Van Halen too.

Do you think the artist of this painting had that much control?

 

Do you mean brush control? He is not a top painter, but he can handle a brush.
I don't recognize his features as being specifically Asian btw.
My only point was that it is possible to come across Asian features in a Dutch painting, whether period or genre.

This sounds a lot like surf rock meets European movie music. But dang that dude could play.
