Hi! Yes it is! It's likely not something you've ever seen before. Keep in mind I've not been there since '86 so changes to the museum's general footprint may have been afoot but this is still there. This is in the huge room with the huge round or arched window that looks out to the road and the MTA. It's where you go through the front doors and go left into the arcade where the shops are. This is a free area or was. At the end of the arcade it opens to this room. This is near where the Omnimax is. As you walk in, there is a motorized polarizer and there should be someplace where you can pick up a hand held one. You look through and turn it to see the artwork. There are Polarizers mounted to the ceiling on lines that hang at an angle to the artwork. One of the wall mounted hexagons is motorized and changes on its own. If you go at night you can also see the artwork in reflection in the windows and the stairway's glass sides. I was the artist's assistant then and built and installed all that for her after she and her assistants did all the artwork near San Diego. The female face in it is her daughter who I dated at the time. She is an amazing artist in her own right. This artwork is named 'Polage' and if you search it or her, Austine Wood, you can see it and more on her site. Enjoy!
