Hi all, My first post; thanks in advance for any help. We inherited a set of china plates from my great aunt. I tried to do some research on eBay, but a) I couldn't find a great match, and b) there was a very wide range of values. The set is 12 china plates, one for each month of the year. There is some texture to the surface of the plate and the rim, so maybe some inlay / engraving? The plates came with Gumps felt seperators between them; could be a clue, but she may have also just recycled those. Each plate is 10 inches in diameter. Each plate depicts a scene related to the month (making sweet cakes, cherry blossoms, watching chrysanthemums, celebrating new year, etc.). Happy to answer anything else that may help in the quest to ID / value! all the best, Steven (photos posted in Reply … sorry)
