I can't find an example of these prints [or the signature] anywhere :(

Oh, okay. Well, actually, I'm not so sure that they're really that different... Is there anything in particular about any of them that concerns you?

Not sure how old you are hemster but in the 70's people were decoupaging EVERYTHING. No blank piece of lumber was safe from having a horse, Indian, or botanical example perhaps glued to it for all eternity. People used pictures they found in magazines and prints were made just for the craft also. The wood and final product was frequently antiqued or "aged" to produce an item that looked older then it was. Flea markets and swap meets always had a few stalls selling these goods.

Buyingtime, you are SO right about that! I had a good friend from childhood who suddenly got into decoupage in a HUGE way in the 1970's.

My first "hand-made" gift from her was in 1975: it was an Irish setter picture cut from a magazine, decoupaged onto a piece of wood with a hook screwed into the top. Although I never hung it up, I must have kept it for 15 or 20 years before donating it somewhere.

When I got married in 1978, she gave us a plaque with our wedding invitation decoupaged on it! I'm sorry, but it was truly NOT my style. It, too, never hung on any wall in my house. I honestly can't even say what happened to it, but I have a funny feeling that if I do another "downsizing", it will turn up again somewhere!

I was nuts about horses. I had a couple of large decoupage horse pictures to compliment the black velvet horse pictures from Mexico... Today I still have horse memorabilia but no more decoupage or black velvet!!!

Funny how our tastes mature, isn't it? :)

Yes it is. I would have a lot more money in the bank though if a few decoupage horse pictures made me happy still... :p
