So I suppose having some of that recent vintage show up unused is at least possible. HOWEVER, my personal experience with patterns that lasted a long time is that there were changes in size over time such that the newer ones look strange next to the older ones - mostly shorter. And in the case of Gorham. I know that some of their early patterns were &quot;re-issued&quot; at a later date and the definition of the designs is much less sharp and defined on the new ones.
