Featured How many tools can you ID?

On the way home, in New Paltz NY at the moment. Sellers were running the Forklift while loading and insisted on doing it their way, which didn't work, but I had brought a lot of rigging stuff just in case and was able to finish loading it. Sellers insisted on putting machine on back of tailgate then pushing it to get over the axles, but Based on experience I recommended lifting it with straps then setting in final position. After they put it on the very back of the trailer there was no pushing it, the front edge of the base just ploughed into the old oak trailer bed. So I hooked up two come-alongside and winched the machine into place by pulling. They also broke off one of the many cranks on the machine but fortunately in a way that's easily repairable, but wastes a half-day doing so.

Stopped at a machine shop that had some tools for sale and bought all selected items in the pic except the porno-calipers. For scale those are 7" tall. I left it because although a good conversation piece when not in mixed company it wasn't signed and didn't look old to me, but it could be vintage for all I know.

Did they mean 'Highland Falls' which is right next to West Point in Highlands (with an 's'), or Highland in Ulster county? Big difference in distance there.
I helped run a sale in Highlands years ago, at a neighborhood bar that has been closed for decades. Very old building, and they were pulling stuff out of the basement all day long. What a treasure trove it was! Pretty little town, too.

 

Those metal tags with the company name on them - my husband's grandfather owned a factory that produced them. We have a few floating around someplace.
