The nerve of someone to damage that shipping label so we can't read the date!

That old cardboardy smell from Christmas decorations in their boxes always fills me with nostalgia. It links back to childhood and although not a very pleasant smell, it makes me feel home.

So, what's that red four leaf clover about?:)

THe G. Fox label was the part I liked best. The Auerbach family owned what is now the 4H farm in my town, and I used to get to go to the flagship store in Hartford a few times a year as a kid.

The wreath... do I have to say what I think while being polite?

The date on the box does appear to indicate December '50 or '52: 12/50 or 12/52...?

All this commentary is making me laugh out loud.......thank you all!

I think my ex-mother in law would've loved this on her front door.
She had the most hideous old Christmas decor from on the 40s-60s. Prob'ly worth bucks now.

She had a super creepy plastic Santa head that hung from a cord. (He looked like Lady Elaine Fairchilde from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, if anyone remembers that)
If you pulled his string he said ho ho ho like a pervy old man.
So ugly it was hard to forget, even 20 years later.

I'd bet that pervy Santa would be worth bucks now. I can see some Millenial buyer making off with it with glee. Me, I'd rather have Lady Elaine in a Santa hat.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

IF, I were to hang it, I'd use a bright red fabric, or something of the like, to hang behind it and SNAZZZ it up a bit!!!

It's different, which, to me, gives it a unique charm!

It's shockingly clean for 70 years considering its snow white. Must have been in the box much of it's life.

Those mercury balls on the clover shaped flower definitely date it, but obviously the box date helps too!

I actually love it. I'm SO drawn to vintage Christmas.

Ah hah!!!! I'm so glad you like it Lucille!

I've found out it was made by the Novelty Wreath Company in Philadelphia.

I love Lady Elaine Fairchild! I was too old for Mr. Rogers as a kid, but I watched him for years with my children and then my grandchildren.

Lady Elaine was such a wise a## and so smart and funny.

That makes sense as box from local supplier.

I watched it as a little kid, and later my Dad did too after he retired. It had a trolley!

I never watched Mr Rogers. I wonder what I was watching instead?

I don't think PBS went onto the air until the late 60s, so... Romper Room? Captain Kangaroo? Bob Keeshan went all the way back into black and white.
