    What a good idea, I hate modern glass in old mirrors so thats a good compromise.
    I like mirrors with the silver backing worn but not everyone does.

    I use a product called Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax, Its marvellous stuff and can be use to clean or polish, I have used it on Silver, Papier Mach'e, Ivory, Tortoiseshell, Mother of Pearl, It can even be used on paper. Got mine on Amazon.

    A little goes a very long way so a tin will lost a long time.
