PS - Early today (like 7am when the first truck came in) I bought a 6ft tall painting by Haitian artist Wilfred Daleus for $250 - it barely fit in my suv & I had to fold a bunsh of tshirts I'd also bought to support it on 1 frame so seat back wouldn't push in part of canvas. While waiting in line at another thrift store in the same strip mall to open (I stop by there first each morning & leave a piece of paper with Charlie's Spot under a energy drink can so I can be first when I finish at my friend's store!), a friend who is also a picker (bigger picker - he has 2 people working for him posting online, packing, mailing, etc.. + he does a lot on 1st Dibs & Etsy; not eBay - where he can charge more) was behind me & when he asked if I found anything I told him & showed him what I googled about him - he asked if I'd sell it now for $500, so I did. Besides being a headache to pack & ship, I was happy doubling my money in 30 min. & he was happy cause he'd still be able to double his money eventually. Plus, he wants to come see what else I have that he may buy (he is only looking for higher end pieces so he won't take all my paintings!) - so it was a good morning! (and I still have a Asian statue I bought that I am going to post & hoping to find out more about it!)
