[QUOTE="journeymagazine, post: 9440935, member: 84"]OK, I started to open it but noticed a little piece of the paper's edge had chipped off (first photos) and I was afraid if I took it out I might bend it & crack some of the paint, so I decided to look at it closely with a magnifying glass to see if it actually was a painting - and found out 3 things: It looks like it's an actual painting that was done with watercolors. It looks like he might have painted over something else because there are places I swear I see letters/words etc.. Finally... it is a Howell - because I found his signature!! So I may strike out a few times, it's the home runs & triples that make it worthwhile! Thank you all for the help and finding out who the artist was - I appreciate it & your help all the time!
