[QUOTE="RogerE, post: 167115, member: 2777"]Hi All, I recently purchased 3 unmarked vases at the estate auction of an antique dealer and have been having fun trying to idenify them. So far I have identified two of them (Japanese Awaji Flambe Glaze and Weller Breton), but am currently stuck on this one. It's a 7" tapered cylinder with a bulbous bottom. I guess I'd call the glaze semi-matte, green with brown streaks. Nice heft in the hand, feels like a quality piece. Unmarked, the bottom is glazed but the clay appears white-ish. While I don't have any idea how knowledgable the previous owner was, there was still a $375 hand-written price tag on the bottom, so they must have thought it was somewhat valuable. My first thought was Fulper, but I have not been able to find an exact match. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to research are much appreciated !
