    Hi Susan,
When my older nephews were small and I would drive them to Brooklyn over the Verrazano bridge from Staten Island. I would tell them look to the right the next country you see will be France since we are so high up.

If I stand on top of Fort Hill in Eastham and look out at the ocean, and if the world wasn't round, I could see Portugal.

LOL. Now let me think what I could see. Hmmmmm..... as there isn't a half decent hill within say 50 miles west to Crowley's Ridge in Arkansas or 140 mi west to Little Rock & the Ozarks, 100+/- miles east to the hills of NE Mississippi & NW Alabama, or around 100 miles north to the Missouri Bootheel, I need to climb a really talllllll tree. Even then I wouldn't be able to see above and beyond those points. Looking south is all I have. In that direction I could see the Yucatan Peninsular of Mexico. Geeeee, I'd much rather have a view of Portugal and France. You folks on the east coast have it all - the Super Bowl and views of the Old World. :(:bigtears:

I have no doubt these Colonial/Continental Currency notes are authentic. If you can identify a prominent signer on a note that can add considerably to the value. All of these notes, even the one with the pinhole, should have decent value and are desired by collectors. Some of the less populous colonies like Georgia had far fewer notes printed that the larger more populated ones like New Jersey or Pennsylvania and can be worth considerably more.
