Similar to those above, German silver will have a fineness mark, crown and moon. How heavy are the pieces as well? Silver pieces will be lighter than plate, would be interesting to know. </p><p><br /></p><p>The dead give away on this piece is the tarnish on the handle of the pot, and the mark on the body of the jug where the handle is.
