It is an old script, not related to Cyrillic, and Georgia has quite a lot of history behind, although now it is small and powerless. Powerless to the extent that Russians invaded it in 2008, made them change their government with much more friendly to Russia, and since then are going back and forth along the border with their tanks to remind Georgia who is in command. Bastards! Russia did with Georgia the same thing they tried to do with Ukraine. But Ukraine is much bigger and stronger, and managed to oppose Russians by itself in the beginning, and later was supported by the entire democratic world, while Georgia is just a couple of millions, they were not supported by anyone and had to give up. I have friends there.</p><p><br /></p><p>Georgia is also famous with the fact that Stalin was Georgian, Joseph Jugashvili (Джугашвили).
