Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I could tell it wasn't Russian, but also didn't know which language it was. We are lucky that you were here to comment!

Yes, you are very right, it is difficult in English. There are sounds in Slavic languages that have no equivalent in English. And vice versa, we don't have a sound matching th, usually it is transliterated in BG as simple t or d.
If your ch is pronounced at the back of the throat, it suits the purpose here, I agree.
    Thank you, Figtree3!
I am no expert in Georgian, I have just seen quite a bit of scripts in this language, but I cannot read its alphabet. It is an old script, not related to Cyrillic, and Georgia has quite a lot of history behind, although now it is small and powerless. Powerless to the extent that Russians invaded it in 2008, made them change their government with much more friendly to Russia, and since then are going back and forth along the border with their tanks to remind Georgia who is in command. Bastards! Russia did with Georgia the same thing they tried to do with Ukraine. But Ukraine is much bigger and stronger, and managed to oppose Russians by itself in the beginning, and later was supported by the entire democratic world, while Georgia is just a couple of millions, they were not supported by anyone and had to give up. I have friends there.

Georgia is also famous with the fact that Stalin was Georgian, Joseph Jugashvili (Джугашвили). B.t.w, Stalin used to speak Russian with heavy accent.

Many Russians had to escape from mobilisation to Georgia and now live there. Georgians not happy at all. It will be easy for Russia to claim "opressed Russian minority" there and go to "liberate" it.

There was 1 on invaluable that sold with a est $600 - $700 but I couldn't see the final price because you have to have a membership & I don't because there are so many.
If you were only going to pay for 1 membership to find out what something sold for, which would you choose?

That is one thing I have been fearing ever since the country was flooded with Russian 'refugees'. Poor Georgia.

Invaluable estimates $500 - $700 but it was passed on - maybe because auction was in Israel?
