    Only way to trust Roman coins is to dig 'em up yourself.:)

    Have you dug any Romans Davey?

    It seems a few Roman caches have turned up recently, large and small.

    Must be a thrill to find something like that.

    Knee deep in them around these parts.:cool:
    I have found many over the years, silver and bronze, Celtic, Anglo Saxon and Viking.

    As I've mentioned the Celtic stuff most intrigues me. Those axes are TOO cool.

    At least I can honestly say I've cracked the 17th. century with my detector finds. That's doin' it over here.:D

    Or the bloke who wrote a book on the subject nay have planted a few coins. Or a 19th C coin collector may have lost it.

    I'd have used something more plausible like early Chinese cash. Wasn't there supposed to be a Chinese admiral who sailed to Africa way back when?
