I noticed that ever since I participated in this thread, advertisements for brand-new items just like this are showing up in certain emails I get that include ads embedded in the email. Strange!

 

Tracking cookies. Facebook, eBay, Google, Amazon... The list goes on and on.

 

Browsers generally have a page where you can manage your privacy settings, like blocking tracking cookies or deleting cookies after a session.
Anti-virus scanners have similar options.

 

Yep, I just didn't know they would grab it from this forum... but I guess since it was in one of the public forums here, that would make sense.

 

Yes, I should look into that. It was happening on my phone, not the computer. I use Google Chrome as the browser there.

 

There was a link posted in the thread to a similar item, perhaps clicking that did it?
