    Komo, yours looks like an iridescent marble. It would be hard to make a shot with a textured marble like OP's. Is yours as high of a texture? (I cannot discern texture from your photo.)

    I see glass with an applied iridescent coating - I believe the orange peel texture is in the coating.

    Just my .02 :bucktooth::p

    ooh, maybe Vacor de Mexico marble.

    "The key to identifying modern Vacor marbles and differentiating them from older styles, which they often resemble, is in the glass. Vacor marbles often have an "oily" sheen that makes them shinier than most older marbles. Second, the glass surface often has an "orange peel" texture. This is especially apparent on larger marbles, but even the smaller ones, if inspected under magnification, will manifest tiny pits that really do make the surface look like the peel of an orange."

    I know nothing about marbles, just googling.

    Just so everyone knows, there is an "orange peel texture on marbles" rabbit hole and I am down it.

    For anyone wondering, there are at least three theories as to what causes orange peel texture on marbles.

    1. microscopic pitting on rollers
    2. various/many temperature/cooling issues
    3. https://marbleconnection.com/topic/21460-what-causes-orange-peel/page/2/

      "I asked John Burns, the long time mechanic at Peltier Glass Company, if he knew what causes the orange peel texture on some marbles, and he said...

      '...from what I have witnessed the marble makers would soak a rag in a mixture of water and soda ash, and run it along the rollers (while they were making marbles) thereby giving the rollers a little more traction on hot marbles. This would keep some of the undersized marbles from falling through the rollers. This also leads to the orange peel texture you are talking about. After the rollers heat back up, the soda ash smooths out and the texture disappears. This may not be the only reason for a orange peel affect, but it is one I have personally observed. I hope this is helpful.' John"
    You're welcome.
