A gentleman called &quot;Carl Horsch&quot; opened a factory in Novy Bor in the Czech Republic in the 1864. They mainly produced Chandeliers and other glassware. They were also a deocrating house. They would purchase glassware from other manufacturers and decorate them for resale (painting, gilding, metal mounts etc) The oval mark on the right piece is a Carl Horsch export mark. So we know this vase at one time was from Carl Horsch. Was it made at their factory and decorated, or was it purchased from another supplier and then decorated there before being exported? I don&#039;t know that you could ever find out for sure.
