[QUOTE="vintagedownsouth, post: 111603, member: 1594"]Hey everyone, I am new here and fairly new to the antiques world. I have always owned antiques, but always bought them at shops. I have worked with wood and furniture, but it has not been pre-1900 furniture. usually mid-century. Well, my wife and I have taken the plunge and have a small store front with other vendors, as well selling through the internet (craigslist, ebay, and other antique sites).

I acquired an old reclining Houndstooth wooden chair. It was in bad shape and I have been working on restoring it. I still have a little bit to go, but I have no idea the age of this piece. I also don't know if there are other ones out there like this one. It is in great overall shape. I'm guessing it is somewhere between 1870-1920. I could be wrong, but would love any input you might have on this.

I had a lot of pictures that were over 1 MB, so here is a dropbox folder that has pictures of the chair.

Any help would be great! There are no markings on this chair, which makes it hard.
