Is this the start of a wonderful business relationship?
@kristiaan , after you've depleted Belgium, you can still find a lot of Mechels and Luiks furniture here in the Netherlands. Prices the same as in Belgium.:)

We live on the border with the Netherlands, I check marktplaats, Dutch sites, flea markets and secondhand shops. And I am sorry to say, but Belgium as been and still is the best place to buy (to me!). And not just compared to the Netherlands, but also compared to our other neighbors.
But I do send my parcels from the Netherlands, far cheaper then Belgium.
Not just for the national postal services, but all others too (DHL, GLS, ...)

Just ran into this add, it show very well what the market is today over here regarding this kind of furniture (over here!!). The add says you can come and get it for free!
It dates from end 2016, so chances are few it is still available, but with a little of work you can easily find other similar add's.

Yes, the words are something like that.;):D Even worse when spoken.:hilarious:
It says: antique hunting cabinet, bookcase, display case, Amsterdam. The part that Kristiaan has circled says: 'gratis', which means free, so it is a giveaway, as long as you collect it in Amsterdam or make your own transport arrangements.

Yes, our countries are beautiful, beautiful old towns, furniture, art. Even our people are considered to be beautiful by many foreigners. Living in a part of the Netherlands that is known nationally for its goodlooking people, I can confirm that I've certainly seen worse elswhere.:pompous:;) But of course they all speak double Dutch.:hilarious:
Muslims love the flat, green countryside of the Netherlands, with so much water. They say it fits the descriptions of paradise. But there is more to a country than beauty, of course.

Congratulations! I wish both of you a very happy life, wherever it will take you. Some Dutch wafels (stroopwafels) for the sweetness in your life:

Now you're talking!:) I am not a football fan (soccer to our American friends), but when 'Orange' plays, I will root for them and wear a silly orange sequined cap.:D
It has become part of our culture. Whole streets suddenly turn orange:

You can eat it any way you like, there are no rules.
I personally like the crunch and then the soft centre.

I visited Belgium years ago when I took a trip back to England. We took the hovercraft over to Balogne (Sp) France and traveled by bus through France into Belgium .. in Belgium we stopped at a British war cemetary where we visited for a while .. then headed for Ostend. What LOVELY countryside, and the best of all ..how WONDERFUL the people were, kind and welcoming everywhere we went, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit there. While in Belgium we stopped at a seaside place that was delightful, it had a French name and I can't remember it .. it was lovely there .. Joy.
