Featured Handmade lace?

    Having finally located my books on identification of lace, I must concur with @Jivvy that it is bobbin lace. Sorry for the confusion.

    Hi, I'm a little late to the party; but... yes, this is most definitely hand made bobbin lace. Probably Belgian in origin. As for the "L" shaped circled area; my guess is that the worker, who seemed to keep things in order on the straight tape areas, got confused in that turn. It looks to be linen to me. A lovely runner, dresser scarf or piano cover... your choice! :) If you need me to narrow down which kind of Belgian lace; respond to this and I'll see what I can come up with.
