Featured Hall Stand

Its now in my van having recovered it today

No photos yet but I did find two metal trays in a drawer that are consistent with it being used as a hall stand.

I promise I will get full photos, outside at my lock up to determine what this thing is.

I did not get much time to look at it, as at the same time I arrived, an auction company arrived in two vans to take away stuff I should have had.

The relatives admitted they had got others involved to recoup as much money as possible and left me with more rubbish to remove than was first agreed.

I doubled my fees and they agreed.

Basically I've lost two Victorian China cabinets and a wall clock but gained more money even though I have had to dump a bit more junk.

First decent job in 6 weeks, I'm aching a bit, hot shower and a few glasses of Grouse on the rocks are easing the stress

 

As promised, more outside photos, its rained here every day and I've not had much chance of taking it out of my van.

I'm now convinced it is a wash stand that has been altered at some time for use as a hall stand.

Two pieces of wood shaped to hold drip trays had been nailed to each side at the bottom.
They are a completely different type of wood and design to the item,
I think the towel rails have also been added at sometime probably to replace the originals, they are also of a different wood.
No idea how they are fixed on, no sign of screws, bolts anywhere and nothing at the other side.

 

After relisting this every two weeks on eBay it finally sold this evening after 11 months
Sold as a Wash Stand.
