What a life my mom had - from a carny through house wife to my dad who owned theaters & burlesque houses along the east coast - to managing a S & H green stamps office in Miami Beach after my folk's divorce (I remember walking there to have lunch with her from school sometimes) to being a pharmacist asst at Eckerds for 10+ years to before her death she was a Sunday school teacher. My mom was a heck of a lady!

So the different reddish color on side is correct! I thought it had been added after a break somehow

Yes Journey...sorry about your loss. It is never easy...She looks like she lived an amazing and interesting life! Good for her! We really only get 1 chance at this life...make it the best you can! Besides the memories, it looks like she has left you some pretty cool things! But the coolest yet are the memories she has etched in your heart.

Thanks necollectors - she ALWAYS had my back; no matter how wrong I may have been (it must be a mom gene!)
Also, I listed the ring for $1500obo & had 2 offers for $500; I countered both with a offer of $750 and 1 person replied they would but it for that IF I paid shipping! I replied that was just the gold value & even with the cracked stone it was worth more than that. Right after I sent the reply I got a offer for $1,400 which I immediately accepted - thank goodness first guy wanted to save $5 or $10 on mailing (with insurance)!
Turns out the buyer is from Brazil like Burle Marx and is having me send it as a gift to a lady in NY! So it's going to someone who knows & appreciates the artist - plus it's a man buying it for a woman so I know my mom likes that (she loved getting jewelry from my dad!)
Thanks for the help all; I appreciate all you guys do here!

    don't mind me but.....

isn't it risky to ship to an address....not the buyers..?

2 guys offer 500...3rd jumps in with 100 bucks below asking...
there isn't a seller here who would not accept an offer of 7% below asking.....
    something sounds TGTBT...!

I have to agree with Komokwa….sad to be so paranoid...shipping to someone other than the buyer is risky. They can claim they never got it...etc...I would send it insured signature required if you go ahead with the sale.IMHO

Also, you are not protected under ebay's rules if you send to someone other than the buyer.

Please let us know what happens!
