    Sperls, It's a great piece and I think I've seen this artist's work before but I have no idea of "who" did it. I would still put a thousands of dollars price on it, especially if you are selling it online.

    We may be able to tell you approximately when the frame was made if we can see a close up of the corners and back. What state did you find this in?

    It was purchased in Chicago,at an estate sale...I would date this 1970`s-80`s ???...I have sent pictures to a couple auction houses...I hope the artist can be identified??....

    Looking at it from a novices POV. It seems that the little white figure is fighting his demons but is powerful enough to throw them back as they encroach.
    It may represent the struggles of the artists mental illness or in general the struggles of modern man surrounded by the chaos of our modern lives.
    It is a most intriguing painting and well done, as it has envoked a mixture of feelings and discussion.
