Just returned from a few days R&R in Southern MI. Didn't do much shopping but took a couple hours and hit 2 antique shops and one thrift store. Found just a few things worth showing and a couple not so much ..... LOL!

One thing I did not get photographed was a lot of approximately 10 Longaberger baskets from the late 80s that I paid $37.00 for at the thrift store. I haven't gone through them yet and don't even have them here right now. I am sure I'll do OK at that kind of price despite not nearly the demand there once was. Can't say I ever saw the appeal

At the same thrift, I picked up this 1928 Piper Heidsieck Champagne bottle for $3.00. Hard to say what this is worth. Lots of empty champagne bottles on ebay and some selling for decent money but none this old.

There was also this huge good-awful MCM yellow and white reticulated pottery lamp with a light up grass-cloth shaded center that I should have bought for $12.00. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending how one sees these things, it was too big to fit in our little car and be able to return with everything else we had.

At one antique shop I found this early Ruby Blenko vase for $8.00. It is about 6" x 6". Sorry for the lousy pic and I really should have cleaned it first.

Lastly, the best find was this candlestick at the other antique shop for $10.00. It is unmarked but unmistakably from the Marshall Field's Art Metal Craft Shop in their Hops Vine pattern. It may have been completely silver plated at one point or may just have a silver wash in places. A pair of these that look to be all brass sold at Treadway Toomey's for $375.00 just last month.

http://www.treadwaygallery.com/lotInfo.php?i=48257#.VhqtqexJZkg
