[QUOTE="Marko, post: 635865, member: 210"]I went back to the church sale that I visited two weeks ago. They had it yesterday and today, of course, they said they sold a ton of jewelry yesterday. Not much left. However, somebody knowledgeable, at least about gold, sterling, and pearls, took over the jewelry table, and the costume jewelry was seriously marked up, so I probably didn't miss much.

I found this at an outdoor show. I have never seen another one like it, and I have been searching online for hours now. This is either a camphor glass or carved glass cameo. It seems to be brass, and it has an old C clasp. There is an iridescent wedge of glass behind the glass on the front. This makes the front glass cameo appear iridescent. But when I look at it in my car held up to the windshield, I guess the sunlight is blocked and it there is no iridescence. I think the whole thing is original. Seems to be a cameo of Ceres due to the wheat in her hair. There is a brown mark on the iridescent glass which you can see.... tried a Q-tip with a little Dawn dish soap, didn't work.

What do you think is the age and origin of this?
