The date on this paper tag is 1929 however the Hitchcock Chair Company was not reincarnated until 1946 and didn’t start production until 1948.</p><p>Editing to add/question: Info I&#039;m finding state the &quot;new&quot; Hitchcock Chair Company didn&#039;t start stamping the Hitchcock name on items until 1952, and then &quot;always&quot; used backward N&#039;s and a copyright symbol in order to not be confused with the original Hitchcock production.
