It’s a Buffalo Pottery pickle dish, 1911. While there are fakes of Buffalo Pottery, I think this dish is authentic because of the shape and the shading of the Buffalo on the mark. </p><p><br /></p><p>It’s sort of a neat history because (at least according to Spruce Crafts) it was “the first American-based company to produce a line of Blue Willow Ware”. </p><p><br /></p><p>It was a promotional item, a “gift with purchase” offered by Larkin Soap Company. </p><p><br /></p><p>I love both Blue Willow Ware and old advertising and promotional items, so I’m very pleased with it for the $1.00 I paid. (Worthpoint Value of $13, so not a big ticket item - just something I like and plan to hang in my home.)</p><p><br /></p><p>I also found this majolica pitcher for $10 at a flea market. A member of the British Pottery Facebook group has the exact same one (he showed me photos) and says it’s been passed down in his family in England (belonged to his grandmother). And I found one on One King Lane also listed as English but no maker listed.
