Here is my stand. The eBay boards had a strict prohibition about no "offers to buy/sell". The ONLY times I ever reported posts/threads there were just such posts/threads. I reported EVERY ONE that I saw. If allowed the forums would soon be reduced to little more than a marketplace. The same rule applies here. The only posts I've ever edited as a mod have been "offers to buy/sell" I thought I got 'em all but hey, I can't be here 24/7. Nuff, the only time I ever edited your posts was a previous offer to sell. You can take a look but I don't think you will find too much in the way of "offers to buy/sell" posted. Now....I must come clean. Spring's posts about the cannon auction really struck me as "self promotion" and I still feel maybe I/we should have struck them down. The thing was I felt as a group we didn't have one among us who was in the market for a cannon, and the INFORMATION/KNOWLEDGE packed into those posts was outstanding. I was hoping Spring's intent was the sharing of this information...and a little showing off of a justly proud collector. Speaking as a moderator, everyone is treated equally, period.
