One dealer makes fairly often mistakes. She had 4 rows of costume rings in her case, so I asked to look at all of them. One really caught my eye. It was dirty, and she tried to clean it with toothpaste and it was gunked up with that, but the stone sparkled like my diamonds. I could tell it was a gold ring by the setting, wear, weight, and tone, and it was only $6, what the heck. I couldn't wait to get it home to test the stone. Sadly, it came up glass, but I remembered what mforjan told me once, clean the stone and retest. It came up in the tourmaline section, and cleaned up, it really sparkled. Acid tested as 10k, researched tourmaline and it is white tourmaline, achroite. Higher quality can sparkle like a diamond, this picture does not do the stone justice. AND IT FITS!!!!
