Wowzer on your finds, guys. I missed you all, I have been so busy at work. I went to a local bi-annual flea market a few weeks ago. I got up too early, it was dark outside, couldn't even see (I will remember a flashlight next time.) No early jewelry, but I stuck around from 6:30 am to 9:00 am, and people set up gradually. One person resells jewelry for decent prices, she was MOBBED and people were grabbing her sterling left and right. I got a few things from her, but I passed on a pair of sterling scarab earrings with hieroglyphics? on the back, they looked old and converted to pierced. I wasn't willing to spend $12 (foolish in retrospect.)

While she was busy being mobbed, I turned around and an older couple had just set up. All the jewelry was $1 to $2. This is what I found:

The turquoise necklace is signed sterling Betty Thomas. I did get the Coro sterling vermeil brooch from mobbed lady for $10. Everything else was a dollar, except the sapphire? sterling bracelet, got that from another lady for 50 cents. I also got a pair of 14k jade earrings for $2 from her, I forgot to photograph them.

So I left and hubby and I took a drive, but the sterling scarab earrings were bugging me. I went back, and of course, they were sold. But the couple I got most of the $1 sterling from had a box in the back of there display. I asked to look at it (I also got a ton of nice costume jewelry from them when I bought the sterling). Here's what was in the box:

It was a 14k 23 1/2" gold necklace with crystal gold charms on it. It was a 26" necklace and the piece of gold that was removed was in the box. I almost fell over when I asked what the price was and she said $1. She said she kept "finding things" and put them out when she found them. Wonder what I missed. I thought the stones were cyrstal, Swarovski, but I checked them with the presidium and they test from quartz to spinel. I haven't seen any on the internet like them- the heart-shaped and rounds.
