That got my blood going, so on the way home I dropped by my usual thrift and came out with even more treasures. The bag is Pratesi from Italy. A bit damaged and worn (see the handle), but still a steal in my mind for $15, considering they go for $800 new. Some nice boxes, one made from what looks like a real egg, another that is gorgeous Russian lacquer (albeit with a damaged hinge).
