Happy Saturday everyone! I went out for a full day of pickin' on Thursday... this month and next, I had/have one day scheduled each month to go an area I never visit in our State and see what I find. I ended up visiting five different thrifts and did OK. I wanted to also note (piggybacking of the comment above), that in general, much of our area is lower income and many folks can't afford higher prices at the thrifts. I have noted that in the past month all the local GW's are putting the antique sets and partial sets of old dishes in the case with sheets from eBay, Replacements and others sites at crazy prices. $79.97 for ONE soup bowl and $69.97 for four saucers - SAUCERS. I paid $140. for a 120 piece set a few months back and they were shocked as people can't afford that here generally. Good luck with the new prices. Thankfully I have tons of inventory (118 sealed boxes alone before the racks upon racks to list). I'll be OK. GW is supposed to help people. But saucers at $70.00?

I didn't buy anything at GW that day but did find some stuff at other stores. It is hard to see, but I just wanted to share a bigger group photo.

Everything all together cost about $127.00. I should make about $265.00 profit, not bad for a day out.

My favorite three pieces include a Noritake Royal Orchard Souffle - Excellent condition. Paid .25, retailing online for $80.00-100. I'll be happy with half of that.

A nice Belleek cake plate with the red mark and some gorgeous Prov Sace Germany Candleholders with two butterflies on each holder. Someone will love these. On the table, what I found that day included the Kreiss lady, tiki mug, Prov Sace set, vintage beer glass and the belleek (all in front). Everything else is carp I've cleaned for listing - sorry for the mess/confusion. Sorry for the doggie toys in the picture.

I've been slow to list as last week the record collection officially went out the door (1 truck, 2 cars) to its new home and we all had the ice/snow. We are fortunate right now be near 70. It won't last.

Have a nice day!
