Those decanters are quite a find! Really special.

A couple of months ago it was clear that an estate with great items was donated to a chain TS that I sometimes visit. That particular store is unfortunately far from me and I was only in the area for a short time. One of the things I obtained that visit was this item - a mixed set of vintage and antique flatware. They literally brought it out, I opened it up and never even picked up a piece - I just looked inside and said 'I'll take it'. It was under $30.00.

Approx. 3/4 of this is SP and the rest is sterling. The three serving pieces include two antique Christofle Sterling items. There are antique sterling pieces with marks I've no clue about and haven't yet researched. I've discovered that mixed in with the SP is the odd piece of sterling, I just haven't looked at it all yet.

I did get the full set of antique china from this estate (all pieces, including tureens, etc., 3 boxes full, french (I can't remember the name and it is in the basement). That set is in NM condition for the age and I don't believe I found any chips and it appears hardly used. That was under $50.00. I have wondered if glasses and other items were donated and if so, what they were. Must have been exciting for those pickers! I am always very thankful for what I find. I never complain on my bad days... I just go look at the carp I have to go list that I never seem to!
