I am not sure how the tables are used though, I think maybe the tables were for the European market. Just a guess though. (I purchase a large collection of opium items about 20 years ago... a difficult&nbsp; sell- much like ivory now.) </p><p><br /></p><p>I have had a shell spoon before similar to yours, but without the ornate handle, I think it was marked Germany.
