I have mostly driven Chevys. My first car that belonged soley to me was a used 67 Chevy Impala I got in 1975. Somebody sideswiped me and my car didn't have a dent- theirs was totaled. Then I had an awful 1973 Ford Torino that broke down every time it rained. I then had a 1981 used Camaro Berlinetta- love the car, but it wasn't good mechanically. Then I had a 1986 Chevy Celebrity that I drove for 12 years, but since I parked next to an ocean everyday, the floorboards rusted out and my feet got wet. Still was good mechanically. Next was my 1998 Lumina.

My husband had Toyota Camrys for the last 6 years. I hated those cars. They ran okay, but there was no comfort. I have osteoarthritis, bulging and herniated discs, and other back issues, and riding in those Toyotas I felt every single bump in the road- I was like the Princess and the Pea. The V6 Impala was cheaper than the 4 cylinder Toyota Camrys and it has very good ratings. The comfort is fantastic, which I need, and it is very much like my Lumina. As for Chevrolet reliability, I can only offer up the years I got out of the 1998 Lumina, which has only 173,000 miles and my brother will continue to drive. Since 1986, I have had only two new cars, both Chevys, a good run. I hope my new car is a good car, too.
