So I was just in DC, VA and TN and hit a number of thrifts, some more than once. First thing I got, at the first Goodwill I stumbled over, was the coat you see here. Not sure of the age, not new-er, but I needed another long coat to go with the 17, or so, other long coats I have...and because it was cold there...and because I just couldn't fit the one I really wanted to bring with me. :) ~ Another item, which I did not see at first, was at an oddball thrift I found. I was going out the door when it called to me from the back corner of the glass case where I somehow caught what I thought was the Washington monument in my peripheral vision. Very hard to shoot this, sorry for fuzzy shots. Look at how amazing this is. It is only 2x2x3". See the flying helo in the front view foreground, some on deck and one coming in over the stern? Wow! All done by laser. I suspect this crystal was given out to dignitaries at the launching of this Navy ship in 2000 but do not know for certain. Now I have to have more. :p It has a few small scratches and the box is missing though. ~ I got more stuff too and I will have to watch that closer for I spent A LOT in shipping. :p ~ I did hear that Goodwill has a different process now so I'm not sure about donating to them. However...... The day I went to that first one it was military appreciation day and I got 25% off. :) Which made that coat $11.24. :) I went to all the other Goodwills I could find and got more stuff at 25% off. ~
