Pennsylvania(?) redware(?) pieces. I don't know much about American pottery, but these belonged to grandma. The two-handled piece is unglazed except for the top quarter and has what appears to be a flower-frog-type design within.</p><p><br /></p><p>These other two pieces are Asian (Chinese & Japanese). The small late-19th C. blue double-lozenge vase with stand was $10 (similar examples of the same size and form sell for around $500) and the oddest, and one of the most beautiful Japanese Meiji (1868 - 1912) Period pieces I've come to own was roughly $30. I'm not exactly sure what it was used for, but I believe it's a form of tea caddy(?) for special Japanese tea ceremonies. Not 100% sure. The body is finely woven bamboo, and the cover is of mixed metals (gilt-bronze, silver & copper) with inlaid shell underneath the waves openwork.
