Cool piece! ("Kollmar Kette" no "k").

There are a number of pocket watch chains with that stamp online, should help with dating at least.

No idea if the coin pendant is original. Awesome necklace. Great find!

    Thanks!

Me too. It caught my eye instantly.
Thank you! I thought it might be Ottoman because the woman I bought it from was Turkish. Would it help for you to see a picture of the other side? It looks very similar to: https://www.coinarchives.com/w/lotv...&Lot=963&Val=21c637676a323be6018dd925f2552481
That's what I thought of too! :) And thank you! I've been trying to take better pictures.

I braved the heat today and ventured out to my usual flea market. Some vendors were already starting to pack up by the time I arrived (9:30), but I managed to snag this bowl for 5 euros.
It's marked 95% silver Burma on the bottom.

The weird thing is how absolute and black the patina is. It almost reminds me of niello, except it covers the entire bowl (save for the areas where silver is showing through)

Thank you! I was stunned when I heard the price. I would have paid 5 euros even if it was just plated :)

Don't know if it applies in this case, but occasionally silver is deliberately oxidized to look black.

Jivvy the research is my favorite

My mom made some silver jewelry when she was in college.

I was pretty young when I "cleaned" it for her. She was not a yelling mom, but she couldn't hide how sad she was. :bag:

I wouldn't want it around for other purposes. YIKE. Today I got up at o'dark 30 to hit a church fundraiser in the next town. The purses were $1 each and I ended up with three. One of them came with $1.61 in change.(LOL) Hard to miss at that price! Got some fake Tiffany Jewelry, no surprise there, and enough scrap silver to pay for the $10 I spent. Now if only that Tiffany chain, alleged, hadn't stuck to a magnet.

This is one of my latest finds, two finds really.....
It's a Victorian Bobbin Stand, I think it's a pretty rare form, I've never seen one like this before and I've trawled the net but found nothing like it....
The panels are Birds Eye Maple, it's styled on a dresser, the top lifts up for storage and the two drawers for more storage.
I had the old bobbins already.
    The original feet were missing.

These old feet/knobs or whatever they are I bought for £1 a couple of months previously.....
They just needed paring down to fit in the original holes and they are a PERFECT match, if I had to go out and find some I couldn't have done better.

    I LOVE this :) IMG_2359.jpeg IMG_2291.jpeg
