I have been eyeing this large jar in a church thrift store for over a year. It was too pricey for me at $60 (and I guess for everyone else too). When I went yesterday it was marked down to $5! I love the color! I'm sad that the labels are destroyed but so happy that I got it.

 

Found a few bits and pieces today!
Some pieces of costume jewellery , random watch parts ( of which I know nothing) and a pretty amber ring, a 925 leaf ring, a cool ‘Made in Czechoslovakia’ Edward viii ring, some sterling chains, a bobbin, a nice jade bangle and an old Sindy Doll. Marked Made in Hong Kong on her back I haven’t researched yet but I think she’s an early one. Poor thing was in the bottom of a box of trash so she’s a bit grubby which spoils her value but she’s not actually damaged.
Also a box of rock samples to help me ID some stones including a sample of Blue John- what a coincidence that is!.
Also a little jewellery box with what looks like MOP on the lid. I can’t decide if the picture is hand painted or a transfer but it looks like the former.

That's the first Sindy, I had her. Love the frock. A gentle go with a clean white rubber will work.

There was an old pharmacy in a small NY town that I grew up in. Unfortunately it burned down when I was around 7. But this bottle reminds me of that store. I LOVE it!

Would you wash her dress and try to clean her up properly or just sell as is?. Dolls aren't really my thing but I knew she was a good buy for £1.
She's got wool stockings and cotton knickers to!

 

I clean dolls like her nude with a little Dawn dishwashing liquid in lukewarm water using a cotton ball and a Q-tip. You don't want to damage the face paint. I wouldn't touch her hair or clothing- let a collector deal with any restorations. When I sell dolls, I take pictures of front and back, nude, and then with clothing front and back. Always take a good head shot of the doll- that is usually the one I would use in the primary photo if listing. Your doll has a nice high-coloring. I have found collectors respond to the head shots- you can see the beauty of the doll in the face, draws them in.
Is any of the clothing tagged? I am not familiar with Sindy items, we don't get many here in the USA.

 

I think she is 1966/67 and the Come Dancing Doll. Amazing she’s still get her pearls!. I think I will do as you say, a very basic clean and let the buyer do the rest.

few years ago we found this egg in my family. It's made by student of Faberge. Do you think it's something valuable and really antique ?

 

@KSW - check that pink and purple birdie for marks; I have something similar here with what I'm positive is an illegible Italian silver mark. Does it have a trombone clasp? The watch bits look to be mostly "crowns", aka winders.

I wouldn't mess with the dolly; leave her to the experts. Poor girl needs a good beautician.

 

Short form, no. It looks fairly modern. What it's worth? No idea.

 

Sadly my birdie is the economy version- just base metal. Thanks for the heads up though of what could have been!

After I wrote MOP it did occur to me it would have been a whopper to get a piece of MOP that big!. On closer investigation it also flexes like plastic so I think you are right. Can you take a stab at age or where from?
