In April, I visited the Antique Breadboard Museum in London. The collection is amazing and Madeleine’s book is due to be released later this year.

Rave, got another tote filled ($10) with craft kits from the same sale I went to that I mentioned here awhile ago This was my 4th visit to their house. First time was thru an estate sale runner but the prices were too high. Then the family stepped in. I have to go thru them all now and figure out where and how and which to start listing. Today was the final sale. :p

Rave, got a Crocker cook book at a sale. There were only 7 people at the sale but i ran about that house like a lunatic looking for that book. It is the one they call the pie cover. They moved it from where they showed it in the pics on the listing so...but I found it. Yay!:p:D

Thanks Marko. It is the one with the reddish orange cover and a circle with slices showing different kinds of food. That is why they call it the pie cover.
I think the red checked one you are referring to is Better Homes and Gardens which I also have to list. So many books, so little time. LOL

I went back to the church sale that I visited two weeks ago. They had it yesterday and today, of course, they said they sold a ton of jewelry yesterday. Not much left. However, somebody knowledgeable, at least about gold, sterling, and pearls, took over the jewelry table, and the costume jewelry was seriously marked up, so I probably didn't miss much.

I found this at an outdoor show. I have never seen another one like it, and I have been searching online for hours now. This is either a camphor glass or carved glass cameo. It seems to be brass, and it has an old C clasp. There is an iridescent wedge of glass behind the glass on the front. This makes the front glass cameo appear iridescent. But when I look at it in my car held up to the windshield, I guess the sunlight is blocked and it there is no iridescence. I think the whole thing is original. Seems to be a cameo of Ceres due to the wheat in her hair. There is a brown mark on the iridescent glass which you can see.... tried a Q-tip with a little Dawn dish soap, didn't work.

What do you think is the age and origin of this? Have you seen one like this?

I didn't take pictures today, I'm too dead, but my find of the day is a Presidium diamond tester (diamond/simulant; it doesn't do other stones) for $2. I still need to test it, but for two bucks I took a flyer on it.

Edit - the pen part of the tester seems to be a bit munged. I may be able to fix it when I'm actually awake.

My find of the day. What I think is stoneware and it’s sweet little lid. Found it looking mighty out-of-place in a heap of plastic molds and bread tins at my local thrift store. Paid $4 for it. It’s signed on the back too! 53C9D299-EE38-457B-A15A-180D308B0232.jpeg AB4CC25B-10DB-4F63-9F23-7916BD777073.jpeg

I thought this gold plate Mabie Todd pencil was pretty cool for fifty cents, but they don't seem to sell for much

Dunno what to call this Columbian Exposition souvenir other than slightly damaged. It was only $3.00. World's Fair stuff doesn't seem to garner the interest it used to either.

Came back with a great haul today. The pietra dura jewelry box is from Karlsbad; it has a few missing metal pieces, but it was only 8 euros. The rest of the jewelry was 37 euros total. I'm not sure if the big chunky necklace is actual amber, but I'm pretty sure the other two pieces are.
