Kind of cool - I would think they'd like more light through, making the rhinestones sparkle even more!

 

They would let more light through, but the backs of the stones are silvered.

 

I picked up this little creamer today - Massachusetts Homoeopathic Hospital. No marks on the base, but I guess it would have been made in the USA.

Moreotherstuff, just wanted to let you know I went back and looked at the bracelet again and found a maker's mark, Bell Trading Company.

I'm glad to have a name to go with the bracelet before I list it.

 

Don't know where to ask this, so I'll ask here.
Are we allowed to discuss old ammo here on this sight? I would start a thread in militaria if I'm allowed. I found some and know I can't sell on eBay , but would like to find out some info on it.

Vendor today at a flea market wanted $500 for this lot but we settled on $390. The only item researched so far as far as sold prices was the Chinese biscuit famille verte stand which similar ones have sold for $4,000 - $20,000.

18th C. 'John Parker I & Edward Wakelin' sterling silver beaker w/Duke of Bedford coat of arms etched motif.

Circa 1802 'Alice & George Burrows' sterling silver beaker w/Campbell, Earl or Breadalbane coat of arms etched motif.

19th C. Imperial Russian Popov porcelain vase.

19th C. Doulton Lambeth miniature book flask or scent bottle w/sterling top.

19th C. Chinese porcelain washer converted into an inkwell using French 'Maquet Paris Nice' silver mounts.

19th C. Tibetan sterling silver and turquoise hat finial.

19th C. Japanese carved lacquer Inro.

Circa 1920s Swiss silver and blue guilloche mechanical singing bird box w/clock.

Circa 1940s - 1950s Japanese sterling silver cigarette box & ashtray w/U.S. servicemen's staff sergeant name & date engraved.

1964 Japanese sterling silver 1000 Yen coin.

20th C. Japanese Banko monkeys teapot

 

It's pretty hard to tell from just this photo but that plate looks kind of newish to me but maybe it's just my eyes today. Looks like a fun day at the flea!

I think Bell made a lot of souvenir items that looked Native American.

According to a reference I have, they operated from the 1930s - 1980s.
They used copper, silver,and mixed metal sometimes with turquois. Items often had a Southwestern influence.
