I hid something so safely that I haven't found it in at least 5 years. Where in blue blazes are the glow in the dark animal ornaments I bought to sell for Christmas??
Not a clue where they are hiding. I know they were in a brown paper bag when I bought them.

 

It appears to be chameleon-like... blending in with any background.

 

It had blended into packing paper in a plastic bag. The goofy part is I found it with a glass dreidel I'd totally forgotten buying.

 

@Dean Anderson, ABSOLUTELY LOVE that watch case and face!!!!! Is it regular size or smaller?????

 

If you find them, get ready to list. Honestly my best Christmas sales were in September last year.

BUT, it was always fun getting them a couple of months later!!!!! For us, anyway!

 

My finds from a few weeks ago. Picked these pieces up around the corner from my house at a "multi family" garage sale.




The big sterling bead necklace with the huge ebony cabochon is signed RL sterling. I have to do some more research to see which RL it is. There are a few listed Navajo silversmiths that use those initials. It weighs 161 grams, 81 pendant and 80 beads.



The Squash Blossom necklace is by ? Begay. Don't know if Kenneth yet, probably Keyonnie. Nice older looking handmade piece with fluted bench beads. It's small though at 16" and only weighs 45 grams. There are no stones in this piece.



The gold necklace weighs 9.6 grams and is marked 14k and Italy with a makers mark. The clasp is also marked with .585. The diamonds look real though I haven't had it looked at yet. They measure 2.75 mm each. Probably lower quality I'm sure, since they are so small and held with only 2 prongs.




The two pins are both 800 silver, 12 grams together, both vintage.



I paid $66 for all of these. The gold was tagged 14k and had a $20 price on it. The big necklace was marked $35. I got it and the Squash blossom for $40. The other 2 pieces were $6 for both. These were the prices he told me. Who was I to argue? No haggling needed, lol.

 

Thanks Aquitaine, the watch is about 2 1/4" in diameter and about 5/8" thick.

 

Gorgeous finds!!! I have a large Rubbermaid bin or two, and all future gifts go in there so I know where they are.

Not sure....I have a not very good one I thought was normal size and it's 1 7/8", and yours is larger, so I think it's either @afantiques or @gregsglass to ask for sure.....now, they should chime in since they're tagged!!!!

 

Pocket watches are measured by the movement size not case size but that is a smaller one

 

The design of the watch, obviously Swiss, is typical of a lady's watch, just not as much smaller than a man's watch than is usual

 

It looked like a ladies watch to me too, straight off. Guy cases generally aren't that fancy.

As for that silver and gold haul.... @Diggummup phew! That squash blossom alone ought to sell for more than you paid for the whole pile!

That came out of a Catholic church at some point. Deconsecrated first, I hope, so n no one keels over dead if you put your beverage of choice in it. My guess is that as ecclesiastical silver it's worth more than melt.
