Just look what you guys are doing to me...!
I needed a pick-me-up the other day, so I hit the A&W...and the 2nd hand shop.
As it turned out..for 8 bucks....it was a pleasant distraction...

Always good for some royal watchers....in the USA & Canada !

    IMG_4106.JPG IMG_4107.JPG
    It's chipped & has water scale.....but 1957......that's all me !

    IMG_4110.JPG IMG_4111.JPG
I couldn't find a creamer with this pattern & handle......but guests will think I'm interesting when it's on the table.....heehehe!!!

and then there's this odd fellow.
I've never handled a piece of purple glass before...so even missing the lid...& chipped....I had to have it.
It's heavy...and looks like the glass makers didn't bother to finish it, knowing the copper lid would cover the blobs...
It has a few scattered bubbles in it....

Great finds, everybody! I would love to go shopping with you. I rarely find good deals on valuable things. Most of my finds are just things I like, not necessarily good deals.

I like this piece, great as a vase for flowers! Do you think it is sun purpled? Kind of looks like it from the photo.

I thought this was really sweet. The inscription reads ‘To Alison all my love Johnny’. Looks as if he knocked it up in his shed from bits, may have held his own photo to present to her. Jumble sale 20p. Just needs a piece of glass. 8C0D7A20-D445-4AAD-A3A0-964FD9E976C9.jpeg 8112042C-9837-4417-9786-BCD1267A1D37.jpeg 89513D9D-5CA5-475B-8BD0-F21AA7016672.jpeg

Don't lose those glass labels whatver you do. They're very handly for those of us who argue origins between Murano and Bohemia.

I bet that frame was made from aircraft bits. WW2.

Nothing terribly exciting but I finally scored some sterling from the thrift store, even if it is weighted. Creamer is 76g and sugar is 84g. Marked Fisher Sterling Weighted. A few dings but cleaned up beautifully.

Two months since my last post here. I know I missed a couple of small things but here goes, don't think I spent more than £100 for everything here.

Clichy rose Paperweight, no idea if it's actually a Clichy but it sold on bidding for £366 so I'm thoroughly pleased
