I recall seeing her next to us while she was riding in a cab while my Dad and I were driving between the Plaza and Central park.

Heard her perform in Hartford and then met her. She was down on her luck, had imbibed to excess that night, but what a voice...

Just managed to get this one for a fair price at a auction (it is a 1960 Triang)

NICE finds. Triang doesn't turn up in the US often, if at all. The altars do occasionally, but tend to be much plainer. Is the car for a child to ride in? It looks the right size.

 

Got this for my coin bank collection yesterday!

Quiz question without the use of Google: why is it called Triang and what is the link with London's Regent Street?

Some non-jewelry finds... not much happening, been cruisin' the antique malls. One had a 50% off sale, so I got this Ideal Crissy, circa 1973-74 for $5- she has few outfits, and even though this outfit may not be issued by Ideal, collectors like the clothing.

Then this was in the next booth, forerunner to Blythe, Susie Sad Eyes in her original box


This was just a hard-plastic walker doll I really liked from a thrift shop. Severe outfit, needs new shoes, not sure what she is supposed to represent. I am posting a picture of the small pin someone put on her, does anyone recognize the organization? OMC? I googled it, couldn't find this symbol.

 

The 50% off booth had this huge Lenox Wild Game vase. My aunt had the pheasant and the grouse, this is the ptarmigan, a whole $9.


And the 50% off booth had this necklace in a small box. It had a Bloomingdales gift receipt, no price. It was $15, but then half-priced was $7.50. It looks like somebody rubbed the bottom of the disk to test it, and it shows signs of acid testing. I just had a feeling about it.....the back is marked Emma and Me.

I researched it and it is 14k gold. They sell for $495. This is (obviously) the Luck pendant, diamond chip.

 

I have no idea about the "O M C" but . . . I wonder if she represents a (professional) governess or nanny.
