That's the Kobri el Gezira the forerunner of the Qasr el Nil. I have about a dozen different views of it.

Under the Kuhn stamp is "Langaki". I think the web attribution is an error. I've seen others claiming it's Z, but if you saw it there is no doubt it's an L. Kuhn must have bought the rights to printing their negatives.

Terry I did the same thing with a set of Pyrex mixing bowls!3 of 4 were on the shelf at SA , the largest and the 2 smallest, the hardest to find orange one was missing... it took 3 days before the missing one was brought out :) Sorry so much more in the photo but most all are finds from the last few weeks :) The Pyrex stack is sitting on an orange enamel bowl. My last pile o'stuff from 2017. There's a new antique store one town over; the family owns the building so they may make out. I traded some art work I'd never have managed to move and an amethyst ring in a totalled setting for these. The peach pieces are coral and sterling, the ring is silver and glass, and the doggie is bakelite. DSCF7726.JPG DSCF7727.JPG

I love the coral set. Sounds like a neat new picking place.

...if it survives. It could be a good spot. The corals are new-ish but nice.

Doesn't look too old. That "Distributed..." label mimics a typewriter font and both companies continued into the 1990s.

I have a few others set in Italian 800 silver and just bought another today set in ...metal. I snag these when they pop up. It feels like you're wearing a miniature rose window.

Love that you can keep checking whether your nose needs powdering while letting everyone else know you've been to Italy, although you would think these are from Capistrano? Anyone know if Spanish uses the Italian 'ricordo' the same way English uses the French 'souvenir'?

    The Spanish use "recuerdo."

So now definitely confused by Ricordo + Swallows. Oh well, it's my default mode.

Think that's very plausible. Maybe the mirrors are not for checking the state of your own nose but for discreetly spying on other opera goers.

Hum... according to similar examples on google.it, these fans are a souvenir from Sorrento.
