OMG Anund - I seriously covet those wooden nickels. What are you going to do with them?

I'm thinking I'll list them on eBay but I'm so lazy with listing.
Or I could bring them to your shop sometime for a trade. :)
I do have to go out your way in the next couple months to clean out my Grandfathers vacant house in Leominster.

If I had a stack like that, some would have a hot date with my miniature drill and some jump rings. What does someone want with them indeed. (Book probably wants to put them in the shop for $X each ... but they'd make cool fridge magnets too.)

It's a big brooch, made of random metal. The brown bracelet that I thought was bakelite doesn't test, but one I got as a freebie on Friday does! And that one's red.

On it's way back to it's original enamel cream color and the straps I might do in copper. I'll add a single half deep upper shelf.

This sounds like a great idea to me. Message me with anything you might be interested in, as I keep a lot of stuff at my house as well.

I found a bunch of wooden nickles a few years ago, but I think they are not worth much at all as they are not real old.
What do people do with them, make stuff or are some collectible?

I think they're just a cheap, fun collectible, and it would be extra fun to look at all the different places they came from if you had a bunch.
And Ruth's right. If I had them, I'd probably put them all out in a basket at the store and sell them for a buck a piece. People would have a blast.

Was at a local estate auction over the weekend. Between my parents and myself we got a truckload of stuff. Hope to post some finds to this thread in the coming days.

Thanks Book, for that info. My wooden nickles are from Long Island if I recall right. Maybe something to do with a local firehouse.. I just don't remember as I haven't looked at them in a long time. I got them at a true hoarders house but luckily these were in a baggie and clean.
They are, from my memory, all the same but with 2 different colors maybe?
    Gotta take another look.
    :)

Bought a jar at the IllWill today and found a few bits of gold, and some serious rhinestones. More on that whenever. This child's china turned up this weekend; I already started a thread for it. I've seen lots of tea services of assorted ages, but never serving pieces like this. The tureen has a few chips on the bottom, but I've never even heard of one existing before.

Speaking of Murano,is it just me or has the bottom fallen out of their market?
Last but not least,a vase who I know the manufacture(E.O. Brody),and can find a zillion like it,but not this vase in particular!

Murano is Marooned-o much of the time these days. They made too much of it and I think the bottom fell out of the resale market.

This one looks awfully similar to your Murano...
It's described simply as Murano Italy, 1950-1955:

    Love the blue glass item.

If you are going to sell the brass candlesticks online, you might want to put in the keyword wedding. Seems multiple brass candlesticks are the latest trend for weddings and folks are willing to pay quite a bit. I can't help with maker tho.
