Wow! Lovely finds, quirkygirl (as well as your last finds at the SA).

    Great ivory pieces!

    Thanks!
None at all :-(. I wouldn't mind it being homemade - it feels rustic!
    I'm hoping so

I've since found a cleaner, more elegant version online that's described as being Indian. It's bigger than this one though - this one has the 'cute' factor, being just 4.5cm across :)

I think only some are bakelite; I have yet to test them. Four are for certain. Went to the Ill Will yesterday and found some of our second favorite scrap metal. Alas it's the dreaded bonbon dishes so they're headed to the scrapper. I did however score this thingie. It's about the diameter of a penny and came loaded with tiny dice. No marks at all. Possible. Maybe from a game of some sort. They're made of bone, so possibly WWI?

    Nice quote komo!
It goes along with the one I like from Patton “When everyone is thinking the same thing, then somebody’s not thinking!”

I found an "interesting" book at an estate sale today. It's written (and self-published) by a local long-time (old) pastor/minister/preacher. I'm posting it because of its (funny to me) title:

My Life as a Pastor: Shepherding God's Sheep and Herding Goats.
