I grew up with Standard Gauge and O gauge trains running all over the living from between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day. Mom unloaded them after Dad died.(sigh)

 

i love trains i have an old Marx wind up train i bought at a garage sale for $5 , it is still only worth about that i found out lol and a few the lionel trains (no boxes also) . I set them up when i'm playing with my race car tracks ... one day i hope to build a platform for it all .

 

My Uncle had his huge O gauge set running all through the projects' apartment for weeks around Christmas.
My Grandma lost it one year and made me help her throw everything in the incinerator.
I was upset beyond caring about anything for days.

 

I have some Marx but doubt a full set. I also have a great many HOs and some .027s beyond my own original sets.
Plus original Plasticville buildings in their boxes.
Other things too like bridges.

 

And Erector sets and Lincoln logs and....

 

I'm gathering pieces to build my own stuff from scratch , log cabin , and pumping station , things like that .

 

one year my landlord showed up for inspection and my racing cars (afx) were set up from one end of the basement to the other hahaha she wasn't happy and called it clutter lol

 

Oh! My other HO slot cars too.
I think my 1/32 slot cars were Aurora as well.

 

hehehe i just had a thought ...don't laugh komo... electric train racing so i looked it up just now, and they do it lol check it out at you tube

 

racing some real trains there also hehehe

 

Never did or heard of that.

They race real live lawn mowers and have riding mower drill teams. Could racing trains be far behind? (and if they are, not for long; those things can move!)

I know about the mowers.
I wanted one of the sign shop crews I worked with to be on that show where they had teams that built required contraptions or vehicles. I couldn't get them off their a**es to try.

 

oh oh OHHHHH!!

 

I know they are fast as hell but I can't get with electric vehicle drag racing.
I'd think I had finally gone deaf.

 

did you see the myth busters i think it was ... they raced a viper against an electric car , both very fast but the well i won't tell you who won ,you will have to watch it lol , when they were testing the car it was very quiet , virtually no sound
